Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 11, 2005 - Bulletin

Forgive your neighbor‘s injustice; then when you pray; your own sins will be forgiven

—– Sirach 28:2

THEME OF OUR LITURGY - “Forgiveness”

Sirach 27:30—28:9 Remember the commandments and hate not your neighbor.

Romans 14:7-9 Whether we live, or whether we die., we do so for the Lord.

Matthew 18:21-35 If Jesus says we must forgive not seven times, but seventy times seven.

We pray for YVETTE ALZUGARAY & DANIEL MINDEGUIA, GINA KATHLEEN ROSAIA & JAMES G. COLLINS who are preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

We pray for all the sick in our parish, especially: Maureen Dan, Tom Cathey, Richard Jordan, Malen Ferrer, John Duran, Florence Favrow, Charlie Villanueva, John Joseph Cain, John Hartlein, Crispin Munoz, Margaret Caylao, and Brian Raval.

We pray for all the sick in our parish, especially:

Compassionate God, make your loving presence felt to refugees torn from home, families and things familiar. Warm especially the hearts of the young, the old and the most vulnerable among them. Help them know that you accompany them as you accompanied Jesus, Mary and Joseph in their exile to Egypt. Lead refugees to a new home and a new hope, as you led the Holy Family to their new homes in Nazareth. Open our hearts to receive them as our sisters and brothers in whose face we see your Son Jesus. Amen.

Prayer composed and distributed by USCCB Migrations & Refugee Services

We pray for God’s guidance for our nation as we continue to fight terrorism. We ask God to strengthen and renew the faith of our nation and all who serve it. Help us all to confront the difficulties of the future with hope and courage and keep us safe from further terrorism.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
