PRAYER FOR REFUGEES

Compassionate God, make your loving presence felt to refugees torn from home, families and things familiar. Warm especially the hearts of the young, the old and the most vulnerable among them. Help them know that you accompany them as you accompanied Jesus, Mary and Joseph in their exile to Egypt. Lead refugees to a new home and a new hope, as you led the Holy Family to their new homes in Nazareth. Open our hearts to receive them as our sisters and brothers in whose face we see your Son Jesus. Amen.

Dear Friends,

Thanks to your continued generosity, we have raised almost $10,500 for the Hurricane Katrina Victims in the Gulf States Area. May it never be said that when there is a tragedy, the parishioners of MD didn’t open their hearts as well as their wallets to those most in need. Again, thank you!

This coming Wednesday, the Parish Finance Committee will meet for the first time this year. If you are a member, please plan on attending.

A week from Wednesday, we will have a Town Hall Meeting for the entire parish in the Church. This Meeting will help me chart the future direction the Church and School will move in. Please plan on attending. I need to hear all your voices. Whether you are happy or unhappy with MD, you really need to be at the meeting. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Have a great week!

Fr. Brian
