Our annual Christmas Giving Tree is up in the vestibule of the Church through December 16th. There are “ornament” tags on the Giving Tree that indicate purchasing a $10.00 Gift card: pick up one, two or as many “ornaments” as you’d like! Please bring the gift cards to Rosemary Whittle in the Rectory. As always, we thank you for all of your generosity and support. We wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas Season.

PARISH ADVENT WREATH. The Advent Wreath is blessed after the homily of the Mass on the First Sunday or the evening before the First Sunday of Advent. On the succeeding Sundays of Advent, the candles are lit before the Mass begins; no additional prayers or rites are used.

Join Father Brian on a 15-day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Italy, in June 2006. Visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee, Jericho and the Dead Sea, in the Holy Land; Assisi, Siena and Rome, in Italy. For more information, contact Jim Sullivan, Tour Leader, at (650)321-4534

A big “thank you” to Bettina Yap for a job well done, a couple of Sundays ago, in her talk to the parish regarding our financial situation. Another big “thank you” to all of you for responding so generously to Bettina’s and my talk. As you can see, the Collections are up. Please keep up the good work.

Last Sunday, we went to Communion under Both Forms. Overall, it went very well thanks to you. May I please remind you again that the “proper form” of receiving Communion is to receive both the Body and Blood of Christ.

There are a lot of things going on here during the month of December: Bingo, Breakfast, and different Liturgical Events. Please pay close attention to the Bulletin for details regarding these different happenings.

Some of the School Parents want to put on a New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance in the Hall. This would be a family affair. If interested, please let me know.

Last week, I put out the new Today’s Missal and 2006 Music Issue. Sad to say, about a dozen of these books are now missing. Suffice it to say that when you take these books home with you, you deprive your fellow parishioners of using these books to follow along with the Mass. We can do better than this!

Have a great Second Week of Advent!

Father Brian
