I will be running
a column in the Bulletin on
Fascinating Bible Facts. I
hope you find these facts as fascinating
as I do.
When
Was Adam Created?
In 1650,
Archbishop James Ussher calculated that
the world was created in 4004 B.C. A few
years later, John Lightfoot calculated
that Adam was created on October 23 at
9:00 a.m. One scholar, quoted in The
Christian View of Science and Scripture,
commented dryly that Closer than
this, as a cautious scholar, the
vice-chancellor of Cambridge University
did not venture to commit himself.

Dear
Friends,
Congratulations
to the 37 young people who were
confirmed yesterday by Bishop
Ignatius Wang. My prayer for all
of you is that the good work
begun by the Holy Spirit is
brought to fulfillment in your
life with the Church.
A big MD
welcome to Marlon Evangelista who
is the new Music Minister at the
5 oclock Saturday Evening
Mass. Marlon is a former graduate
of our School and has played the
piano for many years. Welcome
aboard Marlon!
In the
next couple of weeks, we will
begin the Annual Appeal. May I
remind you our goal is $29,500. I
hope everyone
participates.
Last
Sunday is known as Super Sunday.
People call it Super because of a
Football game. For us Christians,
Super Sunday is Easter Sunday.
St. Augustine calls it the
Sunday of Sundays. Every
time we Christians gather for
Mass on Sunday, it is always
Super!

Have
a great
week!
