SECOND COLLECTION
Our Second
Collection this Sunday is for Peter's Pence. Please be as generous as
possible. Thank-you.
Dear
Friends,
It has come to my attention that some checks
from our Sunday Collections have not been deposited in the bank, nor
recorded into our computers.
In addition, some parishioners were told that they would receive
Marriage Blessings, Mass Intentions, Sacramental Certificates, Sunday
Envelopes, and other matters of Church business without any follow-up. If this has been the case, please
call the Rectory Office with your requests and be assured that I will
meet your needs in any way that I can. Most
of these issues have been resolved,
but I would like to hear from you if you have any unfulfilled requests.
Should you have any questions regarding this
matter, do not hesitate to call the Rectory Office. Please be sure to direct any
concerns to our Parish Office, during office hours, and speak with an
active member of our staff.
Any conversations regarding church business that may have taken
place outside of this office, I ask you to please disregard. I will be happy to assist you
with any issues you may have, in the strictest confidence.
I am working hard to straighten out our data
entry and financial records, and I am confident that it will soon be
resolved! I am always happy
to hear suggestions from our parishioners, so please call us or stop by
the rectory: your call or
visit would be most welcome.
I’m sorry that I have to write you a letter
like this, but I told you, from the very beginning, I wanted to be
completely honest with you.
I’m sorry that this has even happened. Together, let us continue to build the City of God in
our small section of South City.
Have a great week and a great summer!
Father
Brian
Help
Us Recycle
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has started
a program to recycle small appliances—stereos, speakers , computers,
monitors, printers, TVs, DVDs, VCRs, microwaves, small kitchen
appliances, etc., whether they are working or not. Do something good for the environment
and save yourself the cost of paying dumping fees. Items can be brought to stores
conveniently located in Daly City, SSF, San Mateo, Redwood City, or call
(650) 871-6844 to arrange a pick-up. All proceeds from the recycling program benefit the needy
in San Mateo County.
SCHOOL
NEWS
Boosting Mater
Dolorosa’s school enrollment is a #1 priority in my book. I want to promote the positive
new environment at the school, and our best marketing tool is our current
students and parents.
To show you how
serious we are at boosting enrollment, I have authorized our new
principal, Sister Teresita, to offer a $1,000.00 tuition credit to any
parent of an existing MD student, for each new student that
enrolls and is accepted in MD for the 2006/2007 school year as a result
of your recommendation.
Mater Dolorosa
is second to none in educating our children and developing their
spiritual awareness. Our
classes have the best teacher to student ratio, which means more
one-on-one time.
Through this
Sunday Bulletin, I will keep you informed of our progress and I will post
the names of the parents and students who receive the $1,000.00 tuition
credit, and how many credits they receive.
We have a great
school here at MD, and with your continued involvement, we will continue
to build it up for many years to come. Now let’s see just who can get out there and promote
Mater Dolorosa School.
This tuition
credit policy will run from June 24th to August 28th, the first day of
school
Good luck to all!—Father Brian.
