Dear Friends,

As of July 1st, I have hired Bill Ruggiero to be Administrator for both the Parish and School.  Bill’s main jobs are finances and the smooth running of the Parish Plant.  After being here for one year, I have come to realize that I have neither the time nor the expertise to do this job the way I would want it to be done.  This is where Bill comes in.  I have known Bill since our high school seminary days together.  Bill has since then gone on to work for Marriott as one of their executives and knows how to run a business inside and out.   Let’s face it:  even though we are a Church, whenever there is money involved, it’s a business.  One of the M.D. finance people summed it up quite nicely:  “We cannot afford to hire Bill, but we cannot afford not to either.”  I need Bill to help me run this parish.  I hope you welcome him with open arms.

Congratulations to Gibson and Liz Alvaro who just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary!

Please remember in your prayers the happy repose of the soul of Antonino Palomba, a long time parishioner.  Antonino died this past week.  Also remember Antonino’s family in your prayers as well.  May Antonino and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.  Amen.

Have a great week!

                                                                       Father Brian
