THEME OF OUR LITURGY -

First Reading: Numbers 11:25-29 Moses said, “Would that all the people of the Lord were prophets!

Second Reading: James 5:1-6 Come now, you rich. The wages you withheld from the workers who harvested your fields are crying aloud.

Gospel: Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48 Whoever is not against us is for us.


AS A PARISH COMMUNITY

We pray for all the sick in our parish, especially: Maureen Dan, Dalton Delahoussaye, Jack Devine, Florence Farrow, and Lory Manzano.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Rudy Molina who passed away on August 17, after an illness.

May God bless them and their families.

Welcome to our Festival Weekend. I hope a good time will be had by all. Please visit the hall and the classrooms where our gaming is taking place. Also, please plan on joining us for a delicious Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday night as well as turning in your raffle tickets that were sent to you in the mail. Last year, we made $20,000 on the Festival. This year, I hope to make a lot more for both our parish and school.

Please be advised that this coming Monday, October 2nd, the daily Mass schedule will change from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Next Sunday, October 8th at 1:00 p.m., we will have our annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Please bring all your critters to the front of the church where you will receive a beautiful certificate suitable for framing.

Deacon Alex Aragon is heading up the R.C.I.A. program this year. If interested in converting, or if you know someone who is, please call Fran at the rectory office (583-4131).
