OUR
NEW BULLETIN COVER
Im sure by
now you have noticed our new bulletin
cover, with all our new updated
information regarding staff, contact
numbers, and our E-mail addresses. The
picture of our Lady of Sorrows on the
cover is very beautiful in color, and we
would like to have it appear in three
colors as soon as possible. Our
representative, John Strohmeier, will be
here next weekend from J. S. Paluch (our
bulletin company) to talk to any of the
people in our parish who may be business
owners willing to advertise on the back of
our bulletin. The more advertising spaces
we fill up, the faster we will be
publishing in color. John will be
available after every Mass on October
28th & 29th. If you would like to
place your business advertisement in Mater
Dolorosas parish bulletin, please
see John after Mass next weekend.

Like most of you, I have
heard the ugly rumors and
misinformation about Father
Caverte, myself, and members of
the school staff. As much as I
would like to say something, the
Archdiocese has told me not to
say anything for fear it might
jeopardize the Father Caverte
Investigation. I will follow the
Archdioceses advice and
keep quiet knowing that the truth
will eventually come out.
A big thank-you
to the following ladies who
helped stuff the All Souls letter
you got this past week: Mae
Dunleavy, Lona Eichhorn, Donna
Sartori, and Pearl Valencia.
These ladies were here almost all
day Tuesday helping me to help
you. Its because of people
like this that I am proud to be a
part of Mater Dolorosa Parish.

Have
a great
week!

Father
Brian
|
|
Joan Lopiccolo
received the Ozanam Service Medallion at a
special St. Vincent de Paul awards brunch
on Saturday, October 14th. Since 1991,
Joan has been an active member of the
Mater Dolorosa St. Vincent de Paul
Conference and also serves on the
Restorative Justice Committee, where she
regularly visits the incarcerated. The
Ozanam Award, named for Frederic Ozanam,
the founder of the Society of St. Vincent
de Paul, is the highest honor given
annually to San Mateo County Vincentians
to recognize exemplary service to our
neighbors in need.
CONGRADUATINS
Joan !
Our parish will be offering he Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass on Saturday,
November 4th, in the All Saints Mausoleum
Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:00
a.m. You are invited to join Father
Brian, our 10 oclock Sunday Choir,
and your fellow parishioners in offering
this special Mass for your relatives,
friends, and deceased parishioners buried
here. This Mass will provide us with an
excellent opportunity to pray for the
souls of the faithful departed during this
month of All Souls. We hope that many of
you will be able to join us.
