Dear Friends,
Congratulations to Angela
and Bettina on a wonderful job
they did putting on the two
Christmas Concerts last weekend.
Thank-you, thank-you,
thank-you!
Congratulations also are
due to the 8th grade Boys
Basketball Team who won the B
Division South City Championship
last weekend. Good going,
guys!
I am looking for a few good
men interested in joining the
Knights of Columbus. So far, we
have 20 parishioners, but we need
a few more. If interested,
please call Bert Nocum, Grand
Knight at St. Augustines,
at 650-878-0617. He will be able
to explain to you what the
Knights are all about.
Since Father Padazinski was
named to the post of Chancellor
for the Archdiocese, people have
asked me what exactly a
Chancellor does. The Chancellor
is responsible for canonical
(church) affairs and is the
official notary of the
Archdiocese. He oversees the
statistical reports of the
Archdiocese for official
directories, and supervises the
work of professionals who
maintain the Archdiocesan
Archives. Father Padazinski
adds: I do anything the
Archbishop wants me to do.
Amen to that!
We just got our goal for
the 2007 Annual Appeal: $44,000.
Last year you may recall it was
$29,000., a difference of
$15,000. The goal is reached by
taxing us 18% on our Sunday
collections. Our collections are
up and thus, so is our Annual
Appeal Goal. More about this
after the holidays.
A reminder that we have an
Advent Penance Service this
coming Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Hope
to see you there!
Happy
Third Week of Advent!

Thank you to
Cathy Rosia and all her helpers for the
Bingo Luncheon, and Bettina Yap and all
her musicians, for the Christmas Concert.
Both events raised money for the parish
and the school, but more importantly,
brought a spirit of joy to our parish
during this beautiful Christmas season at
Mater Dolorosa. Thank you to all who
volunteered their time and talents to
bring these enjoyable events to our
parish.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS FOR JESUS
BIRTH
Please join the
Mater Dolorosa School community to
celebrate the birthday of our Lord Jesus
Christ by partaking in this blessed event.
Children from the school will be
performing traditional Christmas carols
and spreading good cheer to families,
friends and parishioners! Join us on
Monday, December 18th, 6:30 p.m., at
Mater Dolorosa Church.
There is no
