THE BUDDHIST PRAYER FOR PEACE

May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses. May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another. May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness—the children, the aged, the unprotected—be guarded by beneficent celestials, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

Dear Friends,

CONGRATULATIONS! We did it! As of last Sunday, you have pledged to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal $44,697, surpassing our goal of $43,500. May I kindly remind you that any money you now give to the Annual Appeal, will be used for some much needed improvements here in our parish. You are the best!

Have a great week!

Father Brian

MATER DOLOROSA SCHOOL NEWS

Sister Teresita, the Principal of our school informed me last December 12th that she would not be returning to Mater Dolorosa School. This decision was made between Sister and her Provincial Superior in the Philippines without consulting either myself or the Archdiocese. Respecting Sister’s request, I could not make this information public until now. I wish Sister well in her future endeavors and thank her for her two years of service to Mater Dolorosa School.

CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK’S DAY AT MATER DOLOROSA

Remember, on St. Patrick’s Day EVERYONE IS IRISH . What better way to join in the fun than a traditional dinner. The great cooks of our parish will be serving salad, corned beef and cabbage, and dessert after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, March 17th. The cost for dinner is $15.00 per person. We plan to have a little entertainment to go along with the dinner. Please call in your reservations to Kathy Dunleavy at 589-8233. See you there!
