AS
A PARISH COMMUNITY
We pray for all the sick in our parish,
especially: Maureen Dan, Jack Devine,
Florence Farrow, Joe Hanna, Lory Manzano,
and Luz P. Valdez.
May God bless
them.
Please note that ALL second collections
that are not special collections will go
towards the support of our Parish School,
REGARDLESS OF HOW THE ENVELOPE IS MARKED.
In other words, if the offering envelope
is designated for the Parish Improvement
Fund, the money donated will go to the
school. This will be the case until
December 23, 2007. All second collection
Parish Envelopes for 2008 will be clearly
marked PARISH SCHOOL. Thank you for your
cooperation.

Since
Sister Teresita is on medical
leave, I have had to hire an
Interim Principal to finish out
the school year. Her name is
Eileen Vigo. Eileen was Principal
at Sacred Heart Grade School in
San Francisco for four years. Let
us all extend to Eileen Vigo a
big Mater Dolorosa welcome.

Estate
Planning Seminar at Mater Dolorosa
May 12, 2007, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Parish Hall
Get
answers to your questions at the Estate
Planning Seminar. What is the difference
between a will and a living trust? What is
the best way to hold property? Can you
avoid estate taxes? Can you bypass capital
gains tax? Are there pros and cons of
Conservatorship? Do you know about life
support systems and your rights? Answers
to these questions and many more, will be
heard at this seminar. Separate sessions
will be held for single and married
people. The session you choose could help
you create or tighten up an estate plan,
be it a simple will or a complex living
trust. You will hear how sound estate
planning can save taxes, avoid probate,
increase lifetime income, avoid needless
medical expense, and prevent family
misunderstandings. Attorneys Laurence P.
Dugoni and Daniel Brown will be the
presenters. The seminar is free, but
reservations are appreciated and can be
made by calling 650-583-4131.
The First Annual Northern California Lay
Convocation will take place at St.
Marys Cathedral on Saturday, June
2nd. Click on to www.Norcallayconvocation.org
for information. The Convocation is
limited to 250 people, so register early.
The Portuguese Community of South San
Francisco will be celebrating their annual
Santo Cristo Mass on Sunday, May 13th, at
10:00 a.m. If you didnt attend last
year, you might want to come this year.
The ceremony is quite impressive.
|
For the summer months,
we will not have a 5:00 p.m.
Sunday Mass. Our last 5:00 p.m.
Sunday Mass will be on May 20th
and we will resume on September
9, 2007.
