Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church
Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ
May 25th, 2008 - Bulletin

Praise the Lord, Jerusalem!

Psalm 147

THEME OF OUR LITURGY -
Jesus promises to give us a share in his very own flesh and blood, and share in eternal life.

First Reading: Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14b-16a

Never forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of slavery and fed you with manna in the desert.

Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:16-17
Because the loaf of bread is one, we who partake of it, though we are many, are one body.

Gospel: John 6:51-58
Jesus said “I am the living bread; whoever eats this bread will live forever”.

Mater Dolorosa Parish will be offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Saturday, June 7th, in the All Saints Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. You are invited to join Father Brian and your fellow parishioners in offering this special Mass for your relatives, friends and deceased parishioners buried here. This Mass will provide us with an excellent opportunity to pray for the souls of the faithful departed. We hope that many of you will be able to join us.

We welcome the newly Baptized to our Catholic community:

Hayden Zoe Chan
Jada Elise Dorst
Anthony Gian

May God’s blessings be upon them.

Please keep all those who are sick in our parish family in your prayers, especially:

Matilde Agasid, Kayla Arangcon, Wallace Cain, Jack Devine , Dawn Hassinger, Lory Manzano, Steve Medina, Olga Montoya, and Rita Williams.

Our prayers are with them, and those who care for them.

Please remember in your prayers the happy repose of the soul of Jhomelli Anne Ordona Feliciano. Jhomelli was just nineteen years old when she died. What makes Jhomelli’s death even more tragic was that she had just given birth to twin girls. Also, please remember in your prayers Mel and Josie Feliciano, Jhomelli’s parents, who sing in our 10:00 Choir, and the rest of the Feliciano family during this very sad time in their lives.
