THEME
OF OUR LITURGY
-
|
|
Everyone
who listens to these words of
mine and acts on them will be
like a wise man who built his
house on a rock. -
Matthew
7:24
|
First Reading: Deuteronomy 11:18,
26-28, 32
Take my words into your heart and
soul.
Second
Reading: Romans 3:21-25,
28
The righteousness of God has been
manifested apart from the
law.
Gospel:
Matthew 7:21-27
Only the one who does the will of the
Father will enter the kingdom of heaven.
|
|
Todays
readings call us to
active discipleship. It
is not enough to know
the commandments, we
must actively obey them.
It is not enough to hear
the words of Jesus, we
must act on them. Good
stewards demonstrate
their gratitude for the
gift of faith by putting
it into
action.

A
Blessing
May
our inner vision be transformed
so that we can see more
clearly,
our own journey with all
humankind, as a journey of peace,
hope, and unity.
May our God be someone we can
lean on in our weak or painful
moments.
May we know God as our rock, our
shelter, our strength, and our
wing of comfort and support.
May we not be afraid of the
questions that press upon our
minds and hearts.
May we welcome the questions and
wait patiently for the day when
they will have their answers.
May we have a welcome in our
smile, and hello etched upon our
hand,
the hand we extend to everyone
who blesses us with their
presence.
May the wellsprings of compassion
flow deep within us until we can
taste
the tears of our sisters and
brothers.
May we awake each morning with
thanks on our lips and in our
hearts,
recognizing that all is a gift,
that all is a blessing.
May our friendship with God be
strong and healthy.
May that love be both a comfort
and a challenge as we struggle to
find our way.
May our spirit be open and
perceptive in discovering the
will of God for us.
May our prayer be that of wisdom,
guidance, and a deeper
understanding of Gods way
for us.
May
we be a living legacy to our God.

Kitchen
We are
happy to announce that we will be having
some much needed work done in our Parish
Kitchen in the next few weeks. We will
have new counter tops that are durable and
beautiful. Next, we plan to re-face the
existing cupboards and closets, so they
will be clean, strong, and better looking.
Thanks to your generous donations to the
Parish Improvement Fund, we are able to
get this work done to improve the
conditions in our kitchen.
Thank-you
to our generous supporters!
