Have you ever considered that maybe God is calling YOU to be a catechist (teacher) to nourish the faith of children? We are in need of generous people who are willing to serve the children of the parish. If you enjoy working with children, tweens and teens, we need your help, the Children’s Religious Formation depends on you. YOU CAN DO IT! We’ll help you. Watch your faith develop while working with the classes. Please call the Children’s Faith Formation office at 650-588-8175, and find out more about this very important ministry.

Friday, August 15th is The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses at Mater Dolorosa will be held at 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

In a special EWTN telecast that is ideal for the homebound, Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word celebrate the Solemn Mass of the Assumption at their chapel in Alabama, Aug. 15th at 9:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., & 9:00 p.m.

“To the Parents of Teens” sets forth, in two episodes, a program to help parents guide their teens on the path of purity and holiness, Aug. 26th & 27th at 12:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. All times are Pacific.

Elijah recognized the voice of God not in the strong and heavy wind, not in the earthquake, and not in the fire, but in a tiny whispering sound. May we find enough quiet in our clamorous world to hear His voice and discern what He is calling us to do and be.
