A Letter From Bishop Ignatius Wang

Dear Father Costello,

We recently received your check of $3,565.00 comprising of the offerings of your parishioners in response to our Missionary Cooperation Plan 2008. We will in turn forward a check in the name of Mater Dolorosa Church to the Diocese of Banjul.

Be assured of our gratitude to you and your people for making this help possible to a needy Missionary cause. I hope that your parishioners in turn received a good picture of the progress of our Church in the developing countries.

Most Reverend Ignatius C. Wang
Auxiliary Bishop
Archdiocesan Mission Director

Dear Parishioners of Mater Dolorosa,

Sincere thanks to all who celebrated the Golden Jubilee of my ordination to the Priesthood on Saturday, September 27, at the 5:00 p.m. Mass.

A special thank you to Father Brian Costello, Father Michael Padazinski, and Father Ed Dura, co-concelebrants of the Mass. Thanks also to Frances Lidwell who coordinated the event.

Thanks to the choir and its director, Angi Pasamba, and the ladies of the Altar Society who decorated the sanctuary.

I am very appreciative of the wonderful reception hosted by the parish. The flower arrangements and the food were superb! Thank you to all the parishioners for their greeting and gifts.

It was a milestone in my life and an event that will always have a special place in my memory.

May God bless you all for making the day so unforgettable for me.

Sincerely and with prayers,
Father Hugh O’Donnell

Please join us after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, today, October 12, for Hospitality Time. This week it is hosted by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Enjoy refreshments with your fellow parishioners!
